Toyota is finally making a fully electric vehicle

In this era, the electric vehicle is the future that we know and every automaker is racing towards and giving tough competition to each other. Toyota has joined the race although it is late but not for Toyota as it has been the king of hybrids with its Prius and busy focusing on fuel-cell vehicles like Mirai.

Toyota has announced that it will be revealing a new all-electric SUV that will come in a few months for Europe. This electric vehicle will be based on Toyota’s TNGA modular EV platform and it will be a mid-sized battery-electric SUV.

During the presentation for the European Market, Koji Toyoshima Toyota’s deputy chief officer of its ZEV factory said that Toyota is expecting to sell 5.5 million electrified vehicles by 2025. The automaker will introduce 60 new EVs including hybrids, plug-in hybrids, EVs, and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles. Toyoshima also said that Toyota will produce electric vehicles in mass using the solid-state battery pack in the first half of the 2020s. This will be the game changer for EV as solid-state batteries offer more miles and charge fast than lithium-ion batteries.

For the US Market, Toyota North America said that an electric vehicle is coming soon to the state. No other details have been shared, but at least we know that Toyota is finally going to produce electrics.
