McLaren revealed its 824 horsepower Sabre

McLaren special operations have built an 824 horsepower hypercar called the Sabre. This car is a very limited edition only 15 models will be built and is exclusively for U.S. customers. This car is only for us because it features “ideas and innovation that global homologation would not permit”, told by McLaren Special Operations.

The Sabre has Senna like aerodynamics throughout its body and it has more power than any other non-hybrid McLaren, it beats the Elva by 20 horsepower with a total of 824 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque from its 4.0 L twin-turbo V8 engine. The automaker hasn’t revealed its acceleration figures, but it has the top seed of 218 mph; that makes it the fasted two-seater car by McLaren.

McLaren also said that they have involved the future owner of the Sabre in its development more than any previous custom car. The 15 customers who are going to buy it have a close relationship with its MSO team of designers, engineers, and test drivers so that they can personalize each model with the owner specification. Each one is unique in its own way but some things are common like swing-up doors and a huge dorsal fin that connects to a massive rear wing.

The automaker has display only one now and the rest of the 14 cars will be delivered in the coming months. The pricing has been not disclosed but we can guess that it will be likely $1 million.
