Upcoming Electric Pickup Truck

Electric vehicles are the future of the automobile industry and we can see the future everywhere as many cars on road are electric same we are going to see in pickup trucks. The electric pickup truck progress is slow-moving but we have seen the prototype of both start-ups and well-established automakers. Some were about to come this year but due to the coronavirus pandemic production of new vehicles are badly affected.

Here we have lined up some amazing concepts that are coming and we all are extremely excited for them.

Tesla Cyber Truck

Tesla is ahead in the electric vehicle race and with its new design of pickup truck; it will change your thinking of pickup truck. Although its shape is little weird still consumers are excited about it. It is a dent-proof, scratchproof, and bulletproof truck. Tesla has said that it can two up to 14,000 pounds and can deliver 500 miles by a single charge. It will be having six seats and a 17-inch touch screen. The automaker also said that its weight is closer to the weight of the Ford F-250.

Tesla has still not finalized where it will manufacture but we hope to they will deliver the first examples in late 2021, with a starting price at $39,000. However, some variants will not be available till 2022

Ford F-150 Electric

As we know Ford built the best pickup truck and now it is deciding to get its best-selling F-150 a new electric look. The electric F-150 is expected to come sometime in 2021 as nothing is revealed by Ford yet, but patents have come to light that gives a glimpse of Ford’s intentions including a new method of mounting and carrying batteries. We expect that it will be similar in size and style to F-150 and the eF-150 will be having best in segment payload and towing capacity.

Bollinger B2

Get ready for off-roading with the most expensive upcoming electric truck Bollinger B2, priced at $125,000. It will be having Class 3 truck payload i.e. 5,000 pounds, mid-gate and removable rear seats that expands bed to 8 feet, and two tailgates support, geared axles, and up to 20 inches nominal ground clearance. Because of its exotic suspension and drivetrain, it has a gross vehicle rating of 10,001 pounds. Its on-road capability is also good: 614 horsepower, 668 LB-FT of torque, and can reach 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Bollinger has started taking a deposit for it and production will start soon.

GMC Hummer EV

The General Motor is rejuvenating the Hummer name for the electric pickup truck variant. GM has claimed that it will generate up to 1000 horsepower and 11,500 LB-FT of torque. It will be a full-size electric pickup truck that is ready to battle with its rivals. Hummer will have 800-volt architecture and fast charging capabilities. We have heard that it will be available with one, two, or three electric motors it is not confirmed as GM has not revealed it yet, while they claim that it can reach 0 to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds. Also, the new electric Hummer will launch in late 2021 as the 2022 model.

Rivian R1T

When Rivian first come in the 2021 Los Angeles auto show from that time it becomes industry sweetheart. Its concept is so convincing that Amazon and Ford both have invested it in. The truck is between the mid-size and full size and its standard features are all-wheel drive, towing capacity up to 11,000 pounds, adjustable air suspension, and Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities. The R1T will be having three options for power and battery i.e. 105 kWh, 135 kWh, and 180 kWh that are estimated to go 230, 300, and 400 miles respectively. In the interior wood and leather is used, with a larger display screen for infotainment and gauge cluster. It has a roomy cabin, frunk, and bed that can fit five people easily.
