Upcoming Electric Cars

Electric vehicles are the future of automobiles. Every automaker is adding at least one electric vehicle to its lineup. Here is a list of upcoming electric cars of Audi, Aston Martin, BMW, Ford, Jaguar, Mazda, Mercedes, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Toyota, Tesla, and Volkswagen.

Audi Q4 e-Tron

The Audi Q4 e-Tron will be a crossover that will be placed between the q3 and q5 crossover. It’s different from them as it’s an all-electric crossover that will go on production at the end of 2020 and hopefully will come in 2021. Audi said that it will arrive with the base price of $45,000. It will be the first Audi vehicle to use the Volkswagen MEB platform. It offers an 82-kWh battery that can go up to 280 miles. Hope so it will come on time.

Aston Martin Lagonda All-Terrain

Aston Martin has shared the concept of Lagonda Vision an all-electric wagon stating that the Lagonda will represent the luxury electric of brand. This will be built on the same platform as the Aston Martin DBX at the same factory. Aston is hoping that the electric model will perform similar to brands’ gasoline models and range more than 300 miles.

BMW i4

BMW is not new to electric models they are already offering i3 and i8 and the 2021 i4 electric sedan will take its EV lineup to next level. Unlike i3 and i8 which has a futuristic design, the i4 will be more similar to conventional design. While we don’t have full details of the BMW i4 but we do know that it will have a 530-horsepower electric motor and an 80-kWh battery and BMW claims that it will have a driving range of 373 miles. It will go on sale sometime in 2021.

BMW iNext

In the upcoming year, BMW will expand its I lineup that has electric models in it. With that intent, it has shared the concept of iNext which will be an electric crossover. Its production will start in 2021 and will arrive in the U.S. sometime later as first Europe will get it. BMW said that the iNext will have a range of over 400 miles and Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities. We don’t know what size iNext is but we are assuming that it will fit between X3 and X5.

Ford Mustang Mach-E

For the first time, an all-electric crossover is added to the lineup of Mustang which is the company’s famous pony car. It will be available with two different battery sizes. It can provide up to 300 miles range as said by Ford. The standard Ford Mustang Mach-E will produce 332 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque and both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive are available. It will be available in five trims i.e. Select, Premium, California Route 1, First Edition, and GT, and the price starting at $43,995. It will each dealership by the end of 2020.

Jaguar Electric XJ

Jaguar is already offering an electric I-pace and now the company has a plan for a new EV that will be the electric sedan XJ that will be built on the same platform as I-Pace, Jaguar has confirmed that neither gasoline nor diesel engine will be available. It is designed handsomely with a mixture of sports sedan and SUV. It is expected to arrive late in 2020.

Mazda MX-30

Mazda MX-30

Mazda will be bringing its first all-electric subcompact crossover Mazda MX-30 in the market. It will have a sharp exterior with a roofline like a coupe and rear-hinged back doors. Mazda hasn’t released many details but the automaker said it will come with a 35.5 kWh lithium-ion battery and a front-mounted electric motor. It will come in the U.S. in late 2020 or early 2021 as the pre-orders in Europe has been started. Mazda is popular for its fun-to-drive affordable cars we hope so this will be similar in performance.

Mercedes Benz EQA

The EQA is an all-electric vehicle similar to the size of Mercedes Benz GLA-crossover. Mercedes is very uptight for its electric vehicle that why we don’t know much but from the spy photos, it seems that it is similar in size to GLA. It will come sometime in 2021 as the 2022 model.

Mercedes Benz EQC

Mercedes EQC is an all-electric compact SUV that has seating for five people and size similar to the GLC class. Its performance is quite with great acceleration like other luxuries EVs. Mercedes claims that EQC is capable of delivering 402 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque and it has the ability of fast charging it can go from 10 to 80 percent in 40 minutes. Recently Mercedes has shared the concept of EQC 4×4 squared stating that an electric vehicle can be a great off-roader it is expected to come sometime in 2021.

Mercedes Benz EQS

The EQS will be an all-electric sedan similar to the brand S-class. As per the recent news from the automaker, it will arrive first in 2021 before any electric vehicles by Mercedes and it will be the first EV of the brand in the U.S.A. The production will start in spring next year and it will go on sale in summer next year.

Nissan Ariya

Nissan is having one EV i.e. Leaf now it’s planning for a second i.e. Ariya it will be similarly built like its leaf. The automaker said that it will be capable of 389 horsepower and will go 300 miles on a single charge. Let’s wait for the arrival and then we will see it will go or not. The Ariya will also be featuring Nissan’s new semi-autonomous driving system and will be arriving something in 2021.

Porsche Macan EV

Porsche said that they want their 50% of vehicles to be electric by 2025 and Macan is the leading one of them. The next generation of Macan crossover will be fully electric. It will be built on Premium Platform Electric (PPE) that Porsche is developing with Audi. Subaru and Toyota

Subaru and Toyota have joined together to develop a new electric car platform for mid-size and large sedans and SUVs. They will make vehicles base on the architecture similar to both the brands and will be sold under both brands. No technical details are shared by automakers but we will soon hear from them.

Tesla Roadster

Roadster second generation is being announced with Tesla claiming that it can go from 0 to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds. The two small rear seats are also added to the new generation Roadster. It can go on the top speed of 250 mph as stated in the concept shared in 2017. We hope it will be the same when it arrives. It will have an all-wheel-drive system with electric motors and a 200-kWh battery pack.

Volkswagen EV’s

Volkswagen will be launching different electric vehicles in the upcoming year. All will be built on the MEB platform by the automaker. Till now we know the three that are coming soon i.e. Volkswagen I.D. Buzz expected to come till 2022, Volkswagen I.D. 4 expected to come in 2021, and Volkswagen I.D. Space Vizzion expected 2022.
