The all-new 2021 Rolls Royce seems similar to its predecessors but the luxury automaker said that everything inside is changed, it is changed for the first time from the model 2014. Only two components from its predecessors i.e. the Spirit of Ecstasy badge and the umbrellas that are hidden within the rear doors.

The biggest change is the new Ghost is made on the Rolls-Royce’s modular architecture of luxury platform same as Phantom and Cullinan; it is claimed that this platform is lighter and stronger to give more dimensions. The new Ghost overall length is increased by 3.5 inches and width is increased by 1.2 inches, although the 129.7-inch wheelbase is similar.

The thing that is not changed is the 6.8 L V12 twin-turbo engine that produces the same 563 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque as it makes in the Cullinan. The eight-speed automatic transmission is there and it is the first Rolls Sedan to come in all-wheel drive. While Rolls Phantom and Cullinan are lighter, the Ghost still has a 5628-pound curb weight. It can reach 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and will have a top speed of 155mph. The suspension got a complete redesign to implement in its new Planar Suspension System.

A new feature is added to the interior is the illuminated fascia, which graces the dashboard with the illumination of stars and a Ghost nameplate display. A constellation of more than 850 glowing stars spread across Rolls Royce headliner and creates an outer space experience for the rear passenger.

The safety and driver assistance features include a four-camera system with a panoramic view, collision warning, active cruise control, vision assist and day and night-time wildlife and pedestrian warning and lane departure, and lane change warning. Also, the interior soundproofing and audio quality have been improved. A resonance chamber that enhances the transfer of frequencies, two active microphones in the cabin, and a reworked speaker system provides high-quality sound and a new Microenvironment Purification System (MEPS) detects ambient air quality and automatically activates the fresh-air intakes to recirculate cabin air.

Design Updates

The exterior front end has 20 LED lights beneath the radiator grille that softly illuminate the top of the grille. Doors open and close electronically and the rear-hinged “coach doors” at the back that has been in it from the 2003 model.

The pricing is not released but as it is Rolls Royce we don’t expect it to be cheaper from its earlier price.
