The New Porsche Panamera Is Here

The new Porsche Panamera has set an executive class lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife with its new Turbo S model. It lapped the Green Hell (12.9-mile) in 7:29.81 with Porsche test driver Lars Kern behind the wheel.

This is the model that has replaced the earlier Turbo model of Panamera. It has a more powerful twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 that produces 620 horsepower and 604 lb-ft of torque.  Porsche claims that it’ll reach 60 mph in 2.9 seconds. The turbo trim was having the same engine back then it produces 550 horsepower but after changes in the crankshaft, connecting rods, and fuel injectors and reduced compression ratio it is capable of generating more power and it also helps Turbo S to reach a top speed of 196 mph.

For 2021, the standard engine has been replaced with a 2.9 L V6 twin-turbo that produces 325 horsepower that was previously in the 4S model. The GTS model is powered with a twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 473 horsepower and a 552 horsepower 4S E-hybrid model powered by a V6 engine and electric motor and 17.9 kWh battery pack.

Every 2021 Panamera comes standard with Porsche’s active suspension management system with adaptive dampers, and all models will be having previous year SportDesign front end which adds blacked-out air and the 12.3-inch touch screen is similar on all models. The taillights are bolder for 2021 models and much similar to the new Porsche Macan. Two wheels option is available 20 and 21 inch and new exterior colors cherry red and truffle brown also available.

The Turbo S model has active anti-roll bars, rear-axle steering, and carbon-ceramic brakes with yellow or black calipers; these all are available in other models. It has larger air intakes and a unique headlight signature also there. A new, louder exhaust that comes standard on the GTS model is standard on Turbo S. Turbo S gets 14-way seats while GTS has 18 way and standard and 4S E-hybrid has 8 way; 14 and 18-way seats are available. Turbo S also has a 14 speaker Bose audio system while 21 speaker Burmester system is available on all models.

2021 Porsche Panamera orders will start in and it will arrive in dealerships by spring. Pricing that we are expecting is to start just under $90,000.
