Lexus LC 500 Convertible concept was first shown in 2019 at Los Angeles International Auto Show. The two-door LC family has its new member LC 500 Convertible.
The 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible will be having a starting price of $102,025 including the $1,025 destination charge that is $8,050 more than its coupe base price.
The Lexus LC 500 Convertible is designed to even sharper and refined than Lexus LC 500 Coupe. Automaker state that it will be having the same driving dynamics as its coupe and chassis has improved to give it more rigidity. Its weight is also reduced at the rear by a die-cast aluminium suspension brace. It has only gained 217 pounds than its coupe. It has an HVAC system to adjust the temperature concerning temperature. Active Noise Control is designed to make the cabin quieter and listen to the roar of its powerful engine. Its beltline and rear moulding are also reshaped to suppress wind.
No compromise on performance will be here as it is having 5.0L V8 engine paired with 10-speed automatic transmission generating 471 horsepower and 398 LB-FT of torque same performance as its Coupe.
The soft top has four layers and the fabric that is chosen it will stay tight and prevent wrinkle as said by Lexus. Excellent sound insulation will be also there. Only 15 seconds required to lower the roof and 16 to raise it.
