Details of 2021 Toyota Mirai is here

Toyota shared the concept of the 2021 Mirai last year but no details have been shared only that it’s bigger than the current outgoing model. The automaker recently shared details of its second-generation hydrogen-powered Mirai.

The new Mirai is completely different from its predecessor. It has an all-new rear-wheel-drive with luxurious and advanced technology in the interior than its earlier model. The 2021 Mirai will be offered in two trims i.e. XLE and Limited. It features a 12.3-inch touch screen infotainment system, heated and cooled front, and rear seats, and will be offered in four different body colors that include Supersonic Red, Hydro Blue, Oxygen White, and Heavy Metal (that’s all we know maybe a few colors will add lately).

The new Mirai has a larger hydrogen fuel cell promising around 30 percent more range than the old model i.e. it will go around 400 miles. The big change that has happened with electric motors is that it now powers rear wheels rather than the front. It weighs around 1,900 kilograms i.e. 4,189 pounds and has an artificial sound generator that can be activated by pressing the button on the dashboard.

For pricing, powertrain, and more technical specification we have to wait till Toyota reveals it. The Mirai is expected to go on sale in December this year.
