I recently purchased a 2020 BMW M2 Competition (Manual!) from Baron BMW. On Saturday 6/18/22 I found the car on CARFAX and requested information about the vehicle. About 10 minutes later I received a call from Tim and we talked about the vehicle and pricing. A week later on Monday 6/27/22 the car was delivered! And yes I said delivered!!! I was able to purchase the vehicle from my home in Summerville, SC without ever setting foot inside of the dealership. In just over a week I was able to do all of the purchasing paperwork and have the vehicle shipped over 1,100 miles right to my door. My experience with Baron BMW was amazing. They made the process simple and quick. Tim and I were in contact since the day I called about the car and even after I received the vehicle. He even made sure the vehicle was reserved before I sent over the deposit because I showed serious intention in buying the vehicle and was not able to make the deposit while at work! Tim and Reggie are great and I hope that anyone looking for a vehicle will be able to have the same positive experience I have had. I absolutely love the car! When I scheduled the service via phone I was told it would take 1.5-2 hours. At arrival I was told about a recall but there was no mention of additional time being needed for the appointment. I left today almost in tears after my experience with Ryan in the service department. I waited 4 hours, well 3 hours and 55 minutes to be accurate for my vehicle. The urgency only began after hour 3 when I told them I did have a meeting to attend and would need my vehicle soon. I can't believe I was then told by Ryan "I didn't know you had other plans". This leads me to believe there was a purposeful delay in my time. Initially he was very argumentative and not truthful about was originally told to me at my arrival. To find out he is a manager made this even more frustrating. I did let him know that this experience was unacceptable and that I would not be returning. I guess after seeing my somber emotions, he softened his approach and asked what can he do better and I offered my suggestions. So going forward he said that he would be sure to COMMUNICATE time estimates with customers up front especially when services or recalls are added. Hopefully he meant what he said and keeps his word and no other ladies go through this awful experience going forward.
Charged $700 to flush brake fluid and replace cabin filters in my wife’s X5. In the process they broke the engine compartment divider. I can’t believe they gave this back in such a state. I called about the damage and asked them to quote the repairs and they didn’t get back to me. I discussed this at length and gave them a chance to make it right. Baron did not. I repaired it myself instead. I have lost my confidence in Baron to stand behind their work.
I would give them 4.5 stars if I have the option. We recently purchased our new car from Baron BMW. Lisa DesBein was most helpful with this purchase. She picked us up from the airport and showed us around Kansas City on the way to the dealership. She was helped us with all of our questions and put our mind at ease with the purchase of this car. I would give her full five star. Everyone else in the dealership was nice and friendly. We didn't have the feeling of usual car dealerships. My only problem was that they did not accept my external source of financing even though the bank tried to work with them to over come their finance department concerns. I have to say that the rate they offered me was not too far from what I was able to secure myself. Overall, very satisfied with our purchase and the process.
This is a busy place but they were fully staffed and very efficient. My service manager Ryan was really good. They did the work I asked to have done and told me a few things that needed to be addressed but gave me no pressure when I decided to do some of the work myself. I was on a tight schedule and he did his best to accommodate me. They even bagged my summer tires! They also have lots of free drink while you're waiting and very clean restrooms.
I’m blown away at the level of care and customer service Baron BMW has. There service department is one of the best in my experience. Zachary in service was so helpful and helped me address every issue my car had from tires all the way to new brakes. Honest BMW dealerships are hard to find in Kansas City so I’m glad I picked Baron BMW!
Zach in the Service Department went above and beyond for me yesterday. He took it upon himself to figure out some creative ways to deal with some very unexpected and untimely repairs needed on my son's car (I know, most repairs are unexpected and untimely ;) But Zach was compassionate and helpful and just genuinely personable. It was my very first experience with Baron's service department and he represented well!
