The British automaker Bentley has added tweed interior trim to its vehicles including the Continental GT convertible, Flying Spur sedan, and Bentayga SUV. These all are available to order in tweed interior trim from Mulliner.
The Bentley Continental GT convertible also can be ordered in a tweed fabric top supplied from New England, and the Equestrian edition features diamond quilted tweed fabrics. These are four tweed patterns available including Glen Plaid – Tolsta Beach, with a bold check pattern; Charcoal, a dark bluish color; Cheltenham, a countryside green; and Sand Herringbone, a tan color.
The patterns can be seen in the interior door and mix with leather interior on three grand tourers. These tweed fabrics are from the Lovat Mill in Hawick, Scotland. The Mill uses no harmful chemicals and generates 90 percent of electricity from renewable sources. The partnership with Lovat Mill is part of Bentley’s plan to become a worldwide leader in “sustainable luxury mobility”. The lineup consists of entirely plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles by 2026.
