Specifics of 2022 Kia Sedona

We know that Kia has been designing a new look for it Sedona Minivan to replace the current model. In recent times Kia has already launched its 2021 Kia Sedona which has minor changes from previous models. The all-new version will not arrive before 2022 as Kia U.S. representative hasn’t confirmed it yet but Kia says it will go on sales in Korea where it is called Carnival and we are expecting its price will be higher than the current MSRP. It is based on Kia’s new mid-size platform and Kia calls it a “Grand Utility Vehicle”.

The new Sedona will look more like an SUV, shorter front overhang, and a extended hood than the present line up, and from pictures, it is cleared that it more stylish minivan. It will be longer and wider and have a 1.2 inch longer wheelbase as this creates more room for third-row passenger and cargo space behind the third row.  Recliner second-row captain chairs that are within the current model are going to be optional in new models and eight-passenger options will also be there.

Most probably the engine will be a 3.5 V6 that produce 290 horsepower and 262 LB-FT of torque mated to eight-speed automatic transmissions. The Sedona will be having a rear-wheel drive and no option for an all-wheel-drive that is available in its competitors Chrysler Pacifica and Honda Odyssey. Top trim will be having two infotainment systems i.e. a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a second 12.3-inch central infotainment screen.

Kia’s tiger-nose grille will be in the new Sedona with LED daytime running lights and sleek headlights. At back it will have a full-width light bar and SUV-inspired metallic lower skid plates. Eight different colors for the exterior will be there and for aluminum alloy wheels options will be 17, 18, and 19-inch and updated safety features will be in it.
